
Ross Hume
Ross, born and bred in Berwick, fell in love with the violin at the age of nine when taster sessions were offered to young people in schools. He has studied at the University of York and London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Ross has played with the Scottish Concert Orchestra and has worked with players from the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hallé, amongst many others

'Rising Stars' Gal Trio
United by studying music at the University of Edinburgh, the Gal Trio features Emma Cairns and Alessandra Douglas (violin/fiddle) and Serenna MacLellan (flute). Originally formed to play during the 2023 UNESCO Week of Sound, they liked each other so much they became a permanent group


Berwick Baroque Players Live
The Berwick Baroque Players presents a FREE Christmas celebration concert with special guests, signing group, Tribe. There will be refreshments served from 11am. The concert starts at 11.30am. There will be a retiring collection for Hospice Care.




Yvonne Barclay & Gordon Campbell
Globe-trotting Scottish-born Yvonne Barclay’s soprano voice has been heard worldwide on numerous concert and operatic platforms during an eventful career. She currently performs with the Royal Opera House chorus and has recently returned from a tour of Japan. Gordon Campbell is one of the country’s leading trombonists. Gordon has been a session musician playing with many of the biggest names in music and is trombone professor at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal Marines School of Music. The duo will entertain us with song, opera and jazz, including works by Robert Burns, Mozart and Duke Ellington. Tickets are £10 from the Berwick Music Society.




Berwick Baroque Players Live
A collaborative concert to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Berwick bridge, the show includes a newly written fanfare for Berwick Bridge Anniversary as well as the Berwick Baroque players, the Thursday singers including the Anniversary song, Golden Square choir, the Berwick Arts choir and the Berwick concert band.

An au revoir concert performed by a talented professional cellist from India who has been staying in Berwick for the last six months. Manab Naskar will be joined by musical friends for this celebration of his time in the town.

Fiona Winning & Jacob Sam-La Rose
Award-winning poet Jacob Sam-La Rose and violist Fiona Winning have joined forces to explore innovative and exciting ways in which poetry and contemporary classical music can complement each other. They have combined their talents and created a live experience that is simultaneously fresh, dramatic and profound. Jacob will present his own work (including poems from his book ‘Breaking Silence’) while Fiona plays the music of Bach, Kurtág, Ligeti and Luke Styles. Fiona is well-known to audiences in Berwick. Among other things, she has worked with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia and London Philharmonic Orchestras and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
